Solar Lights Installed by Bihar Government Turn into Showpieces in Samastipur Village
Samastipur: Solar lights installed by the Bihar government in Jahangirpur Panchayat of the Singhia area in Samastipur district have reportedly stopped working just days after installation and have now become mere showpieces.

According to local residents, the solar lights were installed with the aim of improving lighting and security in the village. However, there appears to be no regular monitoring or maintenance of the system.
Residents say that the non-functional lights are causing considerable inconvenience at night. With the area remaining dark, villagers are also concerned about the possibility of theft and other incidents.
The villagers have raised questions about the lack of maintenance and accountability, saying that government funds were spent to ensure better lighting in the village, but the solar lights are currently serving no purpose.
The residents have urged the concerned authorities to look into the matter and take necessary steps to restore the lights at the earliest.
