Samastipur (Bihar): The police have successfully solved a case of shooting with intent to kill in the Nagar police station area and have arrested one accused.
According to the police, on February 17, 2026, in Bahadurpur Ward-21, Rohit Kumar alias Andu Ishwar was shot at 5–7 times by unidentified criminals, leaving him seriously injured. A case was registered at the Nagar police station and an investigation was initiated.
During the investigation, based on technical evidence and confidential information, the police arrested Ehsan Alam alias Bakki Khan. During interrogation, the accused confessed to his involvement in the incident.
The police recovered one pistol and five live cartridges from the accused. Raids are ongoing to arrest the other accused.
