Breaking News from Singhia: Two Injured in Assault Over Land Dispute
A major incident has been reported from Singhia block in Samastipur district, Bihar, where two brothers were injured in a violent clash over a land dispute.
The incident took place on Monday in Salepur Balha village under Salepur Panchayat. The dispute reportedly arose over “parcha” (allotted) land, which led to a serious fight. Police admitted both injured individuals to Singhia Primary Health Centre (PHC) for treatment.
The injured have been identified as Md. Kamrul and Md. Javed, residents of Salepur Balha village.
According to Md. Kamrul, the conflict began when a neighbor, Md. Naushad, demanded a रास्ता (passage) through his homestead land (basgit parcha land). When he refused, the neighbor, along with his family members, allegedly assaulted both brothers, leaving them injured.
After the incident, the victims called the emergency police service (112). The police reached the spot, brought the situation under control, and shifted the injured brothers to the hospital for treatment.
Station House Officer Shyam Kumar Mehta stated that an investigation is underway, and strict legal action will be taken against those found guilty.
