Questions Raised on Bithan Police: No Case Against Mining Mafia, Father Appeals to SDPO for Justice

A shocking case has emerged from the Bithan police station area in Samastipur district, Bihar, where serious allegations have been made against the mining mafia. Despite the gravity of the incident, the police allegedly failed to register a case.
Regarding the matter, the victim’s father, Md. Aqeel, a resident of Belaun village, along with his family, approached Rosera Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Sanjay Kumar Sinha during a public grievance hearing and appealed for justice.
What is the Case?
According to the written complaint submitted by the victim’s father, his 15-year-old son, Md. Sakir, had gone to the fields on the morning of March 26 to check the crops. During this time, he was allegedly run over and killed by members of the mining mafia.
The family stated that they submitted an application at Bithan police station regarding the incident, but no FIR has been registered so far.
Police Response
Taking cognizance of the matter, SDPO Sanjay Kumar Sinha instructed the Station House Officer of Bithan police station to immediately register the case and ensure a fair and lawful investigation.
