Samastipur (Bihar): Under the ongoing campaign against narcotic substances in the district, the police have achieved a major success. On March 21, 2026, at around 8:45 AM, the Special Task Force (Narcotics Cell) and Patori Police Station carried out a joint operation and arrested two smugglers.
Based on confidential information, a man and a woman were spotted in a suspicious condition near Patori Station. During the search, approximately 4 kg and 4 grams of narcotic substance (kota) was recovered from their possession, with an estimated value of around ₹66 lakh.
The arrested accused have been identified as Rahul Kumar and Shanti Devi. A case has been registered against both at Patori Police Station, and they have been sent to judicial custody.
The police stated that further investigation is ongoing to identify the network of this gang and other individuals involved.
